It’s our mum’s birthday on Monday, so we decided to create something a little special for her – two 9ct gold heart pendants.

Both pendants were made from recycled gold, which we melted down to create sheet metal. The surface of the gold sheet was then reticulated by super-heating the gold until it became molten; and with a little extra help from our tools, we were able to create this these gorgeous textures.

For an extra special touch, the little heart pendant is flush set with a genuine diamond – the birthstone for April. We also stamped ‘LOVE’ onto the back of the pendant, for a secret little message, just for our mum. 

The smaller heart has been formed using the cutout from the larger gold heart pendant, so depending on how mum feels, they can be worn together or separately.
